Alarm systems deals and sales

Many people visiting our online store over at alarmsystemstore.com don’t notice it, but we do run different monthly specials every month. Three or four times a year these specials are really above and beyond the norm. January is one such month in my opinion.

This month we have free pre programming and setup on all Honeywell Alarm Systems . Having our techs pre program the system for you saves you a lot of time and aggravation. This is the most difficult part a do it yourselfer will encounter when doing their own alarm installation. What takes our techs an hour to do take the inexperienced do it yourselfer over half a day. Pre programming make the system plug and play for the most part.

This free pre programming and setup is a pretty good deal in and of itself considering that we charge up to $55 to do this normally, but if you plan on having your system monitored, you can also take advantage of another deal for January. Throughout January we are offering three free months of alarm monitoring service when you purchase a years worth.

Now most people will agree, our alarm monitoring is a super value anyway at $8.75 a month, but when you get three months free that takes the annual monitoring rate down to $7.00 a month! Unheard of for 24 hour UL listed service from a 5 diamond central station!

So, don’t hesitate. The month is almost over. You’ve got basically 1 week left to take advantage of these deals, you won’t be sorry you did. We’ve been selling online since 1998 and have a good reputation for low prices and excellent service and support.

Alarm Systems

We often have people call asking about our Alarm systems and what is best for them. When looking for an Alarm System the first thing you need to consider whether or not you are going to be able to run wires throughout your home. For instance can you run a wire from your door or keypad back to where you will have the board and cabinet placed? For a lot of people the answer is no. In that case they would need a wireless Alarm System. But for others you could choose an Alarm system that is completely wired or one that has the capability to do both hardwired and wireless which is then considered a hybrid system.

We sell all of the major Alarm system brands on the market at this time. We have GE Security , Ademco Honeywell, and DSC. All of which are great systems. We often have people ask why our Alarm Systems are offered at such a low price. The reason is that we operate on wholesale prices. All of our alarm systems are brand new factory fresh and professional grade. And yes, we do include manuals with all systems we sell. All of our Alarm systems  have a 1 year warranty.

So, whether it’s a hardwired alarm system or a wireless alarm system, we hope you’ll consider us for your needs. We are committed to strong customer service and offer the best prices you’ll find from a authorized supporting dealer. We back that up with a low price guarantee too!

Alarm Monitoring Service

I don’t know why since we have the service on our site, but we are often asked when someone buys an alarm system, who do we recommend for alarm monitoring service? AlarmSystemStore.com of course! They then seem surprised to hear that we offer the service nationwide, then they are equally surprised to hear our price of $8.75 a month. The truth is, I guess we do not actively promote the service as much as we should.  We actually started offering the alarm monitoring service years ago to our online customers simply because they were having an issue of finding a central station that would monitor their self installed system. In fact, for the first couple years we didn’t have the service mentioned anywhere on our website. So while we don’t try and “sell” people on our monitoring service, I am going to plug it here just a little and to maybe inform people of it a little better.

First off, our alarm monitoring service is a UL listed 24 hour central station. The station actually meets standards above UL and is rated 5 diamond by CSAA, an association of it’s peers in the industry. This is the same service or better than offered anywhere else, we simply offer it at the wholesale rate. The low price sometimes makes people think it is a lessor service, but it is not. We actually have many dealers that use our service at $8.75 and resell it at a higher retail rate of $20 to $30 a month. Bottom line, it’s a great service. I use it for my family and our office as well.

One thing to remember about alarm monitoring service is that most insurance companies will provide a discount on your home or business insurance if you are monitored. This discount ranges from 5% to 20% depending on the company. Because our alarm monitoring price is so low, this discount is often enough to cover the actual cost of the monitoring. That makes it almost a no brainer!

Video Surveillance Equipment

We’ve recently posted several new items in our video surveillance equipment category. All is the latest and greatest in the field. We placed a large order to get the best supplier prices and as such have many of these items on special sale right now. The latest camera system kits and DVR’s we have on the site all feature H.264 compression and mobile phone viewing, even on the Iphone. We’ve tested remote viewing on an Iphone and quality is pretty good even on the slower EDGE network. 3G and WIFI are of course nothing short of spectacular. This is at least in part to the new H.264 compression. H.264 also means more storage time on the HDD than ever before.

Video Surveillance Equipment has come a long way. You can now see predators in color during the day and black and white at night in absolute darkness. There are now several IR’s in a all of our cameras so that you can see the predator at night.  You can also buy Video Surveillance Camera Kits. They come with cameras and DVR’s so that you can record what you cameras are seeing. They also come with power supply and the cables to run from each camera to the DVR. We have 4 and 8 camera kits that are plug and play for do it yourselfers.

Video Surveillance Equipment can also come separately so that you can pick the cameras, DVR, cables and power supplies that suit your needs best. So if you are having problems with break ins or neighbors snooping around your home Video Surveillance might be something of interest to you and it’s more affordable than ever now!

Wireless Alarm Systems

Wireless Alarm Systems are the best way to go when you have a home or business that is already built and not easily retrofitted. No one really wants to run wires if the walls are already up and in tact. That is why Wireless Alarm Systems are so popular.

A lot of people think wireless alarms aren’t as reliable and they have more false alarms. However, the technology has come a long way even in the last 3 to 5 years and now Wireless Alarm Systems are just as reliable as a hardwired system, albeit a little more expensive. Most wireless systems can transmit at 1000 foot open air. Walls and doors restrict it but it generally always works just fine even in larger homes and small businesses. Typical range thru obstacles in our experience is 200 to 300 feet at least from the receiver.

If your looking for an Alarm System and don’t want to mess with the hassle of hard wiring everything wireless is most definitely the way to go. We have a variety the top wireless systems on the market today, including Honeywell’s Ademco Lynx, GE Security’s GE Simon XT and last but certainly not least, DSC Alexor. In case you’re not familiar with DSC by the way, their parent company is Tyco International which most everyone has heard of.

All are good systems, as we will only sell alarm systems that we have thoroughly tested and worked with and found to be reliably. Some are geared for those who want self monitor, such as the GE Simon XT, while others are more affordable if you plan to have professional alarm monitoring like the Honeywell Ademco Lynx. And DSC Alexor model is a new breed that offers the unique ability to segregate the keypad, control brain and sirens, which is deemed to make it a less vulnerable system to attack.

We will in the near future post a more comprehensive side by side comparison of these systems as time permits.
